Vane pump repair in Orlando
Vane pumps run quiet and smooth, which is why they turn up on steering, refuse and industrial systems. When they wear, a cartridge kit often brings them back.
How a vane pump works
Sliding vanes in a slotted rotor sweep oil around an oval or offset cam ring. Fixed displacement vane pumps move the same volume every turn; variable displacement pumps shift the ring to match the demand.
Vane pump work
- Single and double vane pumps
- Fixed and variable displacement
- Cartridge kit replacement: rotor, vanes, ring and side plates
- Shaft seals, bearings and flow control valves
- Complete replacement when the housing is damaged
Signs of wear
Noise that rises with pressure, slow response, heat and a drop in flow. Vanes wear faster on dirty oil, so we check the filters and the oil before a rebuilt pump goes back in.
